Wedding Planning Breather

So I knew that planning a wedding would get stressful -- but I didnt think it would be THIS stressful so quick. A lot going on in my head. We need to save money for a wedding, house, and honeymoon all under 1-year. I was even planning to make a film in 2012, but I'm afraid I'll be stretching myself thin if I did that.

So I've decided to take a break. PJ and I have been in wedding/house hunting mode since the engagement and I'M TIRED -- I know he is. lol.

Last weekend was the much needed break we both deserved an we decided to focus on more important things -- growing together in Christ. Boy oh boy was that a needed weekend.

HGTV: My First Place Show!

Now a days I watch A LOT of HGTV and all of the home improvement shows. I decided to go online to see if any of the shows are casting in my area -- and they are! So I sent in an application, for the "My First Place" show just for the fun of it...and the Casting Director emailed me back a day later!!! OMGOODNESS!!! Sooo wasn't expecting that!

I have to get a few things in line before we talk any further about the show, BUT...we might be on TV ya'll!!! TOO CRAZY! I'll keep you posted!

Update: LOVE AND HAPIENESS

It's been a while sense my last entry! I am now engaged and planning a wedding! I was proposed to in Jamaica on my birthday 10/10/11. My fiance is fabulous and I couldnt have asked Christ for a better man.

I hit the beginning of the engagement running and immediately began researching venues, caterers, dresses, flowers, invitations, and many many other things. I quickly became overwhelmed. I didint understand why I had to pay someone $5000+ just to use their space and be limited to 4-6hrs on the property. Whats worse is that they charge $50+ per person for the meal! With my current guest list -- that's $10,000 I'm spending just for 1 day!!! Ridiculous. So I quickly began researching alternatives...and untlimately I landed on what I think is the best option --

Having the reception and maybe even the ceremony in the backyard of our first house together! We could purchase a home before the wedding date, hire a landscaping company to pimp out the yard, and have everyone I'd like to attend -- attend! My grandmother will cook the food (she's the best cook in the world HANDS DOWN) and have 1 big family/friends celebration of our union!

So right now -- we're in the house hunting/saving mode. Wish us luck!
