Wedding Planning Breather

So I knew that planning a wedding would get stressful -- but I didnt think it would be THIS stressful so quick. A lot going on in my head. We need to save money for a wedding, house, and honeymoon all under 1-year. I was even planning to make a film in 2012, but I'm afraid I'll be stretching myself thin if I did that.

So I've decided to take a break. PJ and I have been in wedding/house hunting mode since the engagement and I'M TIRED -- I know he is. lol.

Last weekend was the much needed break we both deserved an we decided to focus on more important things -- growing together in Christ. Boy oh boy was that a needed weekend.

HGTV: My First Place Show!

Now a days I watch A LOT of HGTV and all of the home improvement shows. I decided to go online to see if any of the shows are casting in my area -- and they are! So I sent in an application, for the "My First Place" show just for the fun of it...and the Casting Director emailed me back a day later!!! OMGOODNESS!!! Sooo wasn't expecting that!

I have to get a few things in line before we talk any further about the show, BUT...we might be on TV ya'll!!! TOO CRAZY! I'll keep you posted!

Update: LOVE AND HAPIENESS

It's been a while sense my last entry! I am now engaged and planning a wedding! I was proposed to in Jamaica on my birthday 10/10/11. My fiance is fabulous and I couldnt have asked Christ for a better man.

I hit the beginning of the engagement running and immediately began researching venues, caterers, dresses, flowers, invitations, and many many other things. I quickly became overwhelmed. I didint understand why I had to pay someone $5000+ just to use their space and be limited to 4-6hrs on the property. Whats worse is that they charge $50+ per person for the meal! With my current guest list -- that's $10,000 I'm spending just for 1 day!!! Ridiculous. So I quickly began researching alternatives...and untlimately I landed on what I think is the best option --

Having the reception and maybe even the ceremony in the backyard of our first house together! We could purchase a home before the wedding date, hire a landscaping company to pimp out the yard, and have everyone I'd like to attend -- attend! My grandmother will cook the food (she's the best cook in the world HANDS DOWN) and have 1 big family/friends celebration of our union!

So right now -- we're in the house hunting/saving mode. Wish us luck!

Let The Whole World Know?

I have a question...

But first I'll explain the situation:
I was on FB and I read the status of a fellow Christian that I highly respect. There was a curse word written. Of course it knocked me back a bit, but then I did some investigating. I thought, surely they don't have their religion status set for Christian (even though they are) -- and they did. This confused me even more...

I know that Christian's are flawed. We're human after all...But this bothered me.

Question:
Do you think that Christian's who are backsliding should change the status of their religion on FB? I can see both sides of the equation here.

1)On one side, NO THEY SHOULDN'T. Just because they curse or whatever doesn't mean that they are less Christian...it just means they are taking a "mini-vacation" and got lost along the way...lol

2) And on the other side, YES THEY SHOULD, because non-Christians are carefully watching us Christian's and when they see us acting ungodly, it pushes them farther from Christ.

But after writing all this out, I think it should remain...Because Christianity isn't something you turn off and on. I guess we just have to gently confront our brothers and sisters and correct the issue ourselves. I think to myself WWJD (what would Jesus do?). Jesus would confront the person, not dis-own them and make them change their name...<3

Thanks BLOGGER for letting me flesh out those thoughts! Sorry guys...don't need your help anymore...Unless you'd still like to comment. :D

Bullies

Just a note:

Don't let people make you think that you need them in order for you to advance in your careers. The only One you need is Christ and if 1 door doesn't work out for you, another one will surely open!

Just trust in Him and an overwhelming peace will consume you!

Love you all!

Boldness

Don't let the world EVER tell you how to be a Christian. They don't have the faith you have. They don't have the knoweldege you have. They don't have the God you have. HA!

Do what the Word says. Be Bold. Love God. Love Others. Let the Love of God pour out of you that they have NO CHOICE but to encounter Him everytime they encounter you! Working my way up folks! Not quite there yet, but I'm putting the Devil under my feet and going to march boldly forward!

In encourage you to do the same. But remember to let God order your steps! We are mighty men and women of God! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You will get mocked, made fun of, some Christians are even being killed! But this world is not our home. Don't be afraid! Stand up for God, and He will do the same for you. He already has! Think about it! (The Cross)

P.S. Being bold does NOT mean being cocky. It means, not being a wimp when it comes to what you believe, and not letting the world push you over! We've all had those people that challenge ou faith -- they won't go away. So prepare yourselves for battle, and bring the Sword (the Word) with you!!! Carry it in your heart always.

Love ya much!

P.
